Luxury countryside escapes in the heart of North Wales

On the edge of the Clocaenog Forest, with the Berwyn Mountains stretching out before you, discover two thoughtfully restored cottages designed for peaceful countryside stays.

A genuinely quiet place to stay

Tucked away in an elevated and secluded setting on the edge of the Clocaenog Forest, our two cottages enjoy sweeping views across the Berwyn Mountains and the quiet beauty of central North Wales. With just two cottages within a small private hamlet of carefully restored farm buildings, there is a sense of peace and privacy here that larger holiday destinations rarely achieve.

Both cottages have been thoughtfully restored, balancing contemporary comfort with the character and craftsmanship of their original farmstead setting. Each has its own private garden, dedicated parking and a warming log burner for cosy evenings after a day outdoors. Independently awarded 5-star status, it is the personal touches guests remember most, and Jane’s warm welcome is often the first of them.

Bryn Eithin, sleeps six

A spacious five-star retreat designed for families and gatherings, Bryn Eithin combines generous living spaces with thoughtful comfort throughout. Two ensuite bedrooms and one snug bedroom, a large open-plan kitchen and dining space, a welcoming living room and a traditional log burner create room to come together or retreat at your own pace.

Outside, a private patio and enclosed garden with outdoor furniture and a barbecue offer space to relax and enjoy the surrounding countryside.

Everything within reach, in every direction

Set in the heart of North Wales, the cottages place the region’s landscapes and experiences within easy reach. The mountains of Snowdonia lie to the west, Llangollen and the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct to the east, and the rolling Clwydian hills to the north, while peaceful walking routes, cycling trails and fishing can all be found moments from your doorstep.

Spend the day climbing mountains, exploring historic castles or discovering hidden corners of North Wales, then return to the comfort of the cottage in time for a slow evening and dinner by the fire.

Bwthyn Clychau’r Gog, sleeps two

Created as a peaceful retreat for two, Bwthyn Clychau’r Gog offers comfort, warmth and complete privacy in a beautifully restored setting.

Inside, a restored Victorian wrought-iron bed and cosy log burner create a romantic space designed for slowing down and switching off, while outside, a private garden offers your own quiet corner of North Wales.
